How we sparked potential residents’ imaginations with three show apartments in one of Liverpool’s most iconic waterside buildings
Set upon the iconic Liverpool Docks stands one of Liverpool’s most exciting rental developments within the city, The Keel. 240 luxurious one, two and three bedroom apartments are housed within this striking architectural presence on the waterside.
Our Design Team’s services were enlisted by the developer of The Keel, Allsop, to update the look and feel of the development by creating three separate show flats that promoted the buildings stunning features and accentuate the extraordinary setting of the waterside property.
As sustainability is in our DNA at LOFT and we constantly look to push sustainability measures forward, it was mutually motivational to be working on a building that has recently installed PV cells to reduce the buildings carbon emissions. The unique setting combined with the aspirational goals of the development pushed our design concepts to not only match the high standard of the project but exceed it and elevate it further.
We stayed sympathetic to the buildings architecture through our designs and worked with the natural contours of the building to create three unique and captivating designs.
We kept the colour palette subtle and unintrusive throughout, delicately peppering through varying tones of blue to reflect the River Mersey outside the window. Fresh and contemporary accessories and artwork were used to remain consistent with the rest of the building and a mixture of plants and greenery were introduced to give life to the space and further push the idea of bringing the outdoors in.
We took full advantage of the natural light that flooded the apartments by subtly framing the windows through our design, while never blocking any light.
The Keel offers residents a complete BTR experience by providing a host of high-end amenities such as a gym, a concierge service, parking and pet-friendly living.
We understood our apartment designs needed to reflect the high-end amenities on offer, while providing a calm and peaceful space for residents. Our contemporary accessories and furniture provided a high-end feel, while our soft colouring and subtle use of natural elements helped provide tranquility.
The prospect of city living such as this is of course titillating and filled with adventure, but at LOFT we understand that home should also feel like sanctuary and a well-designed scheme will create this feeling of safety and security, enhancing a resident’s overall wellbeing. Our Designer’s struck the perfect balance through these designs, allowing potential residents to feel the buzz of the city while experiencing the calm of their potential home.
